ESO Consultants holds a New York State contract to provide independent medical examiners for state disability claims. We are adding New York-licensed, board-certified physicians across the state. You examine in your own office, on your schedule. We handle the scheduling, the records and the member calls.
Most IME work is lost to admin: chasing records, rescheduling no-shows, fielding calls. Our coordinators carry that so your time goes to the examination and the report.
Members are placed with the closest qualified examiner. You tell us the days and times you can see them. No minimum volume.
Members call our line. We book them into your availability, confirm the appointment and handle reschedules.
The referral letter, the questions to answer and the supporting medical records arrive in our secure physician portal before the exam.
We share sample referral letters and reports so you know exactly what the State needs addressed. One coordinator is your point of contact.
Most referrals are orthopedic, so orthopedic surgeons are our first priority. We also need physicians across the other specialties the State examines under. You can be listed under more than one specialty if you are board-certified in each.

No. These are New York State disability examinations. The report addresses whether the member's claimed conditions are permanent and how each claimed incident relates to that disability. We ask every physician to confirm they are willing to perform New York State disability exams before we list them.

We do. Members call our scheduling line; we book them into the availability you give us, send the appointment confirmation and deliver the complete records file to you through our secure physician portal.
